Maywood Emergency Response Team
The Maywood Emergency Response Team (MERT) is responsible for creating, implementing, updating, and maintaining an appropriate plan of action in the event of an emergency in the Village of Maywood. The team consists of six departmental areas: Police, Fire, Homeland Security, Public Works, Building and Code, and Community Engagement. MERT focuses on five critical phases of Emergency Management including Prevention, Preparedness, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery.
